Obituary of Anthony J. Gennaro

GENNARO - Anthony J. March 27, 1933 - February 17, 2023. Passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Dear husband of Roberta (nee Soos), pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sadie (nee Campobello). Loving father of Linda (Bruce) Anderson, Steven Gennaro and Denise Gennaro. Loving Papa to Erin (Richard) McGilvray, and Alison Jeffords, Dadushka to Vadim John (Kayla) Anderson and Sergei James (Erica) Anderson. Great grandfather of Iain McGilvray. Stepfather to David (Mary) Breier, Christopher Breier and Scott Breier. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Anthony was a mechanical engineer with GM for over thirty years. He was a United States Army veteran during the Korean war. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus (John Cardinal O’Hara Council) and was very active in his church before the pandemic. He enjoyed music, gardening and cooking and baking for his family. His dry sense of humor kept everyone laughing. He will be missed by many. A mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 18th, 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 10950 Main St., Clarence.
