As the President of Alpha Association, I think I speak for all the men who served with Paul in Vietnam. We all faced a very difficult challenge when our brigade was brought into War Zone C to clear the influence of the Vietcong who held the area as their stronghold. When we left the war, a year later, the war was being won and the in fact, the influence of the enemy was minimized.
Forty years later, Paul was one the first to join our veteran organization and became an iconic figure in our group. I spoke to Paul by phone not long before his passing and he seemed to be apologetic about not being able to attend the last few reunions because of problems it presented in his life. I understood this and reassured him that we all understood. Sometimes, it's better to let the memories lie where we left them in 1967.
Paul will be missed at our reunions, but we take solace in the fact that Paul, at last. has found his peace.

All good friends start out strangers, I am so appreciative of the time that we got to spend together. I waited on Paul at the restaurant and we became good friends soon after! I will miss his laugh and all of his jokes.
-TP RIP-
My condolences to all those who were fortunate enough to know Paul as TP :)
