Thursday, October 19, 2017I'm very sorry to hear of Marty's passing. I grew up with him in Clarence Center with the rest of the gang. We had a lot of fun and experiences together. It's been a number of years since we got together but I always considered him a good friend. I'm sorry I was not able to attend the memorial due to obligations in northern California. Dr. Tom Murphy. Wednesday, October 18, 2017I'm so sorry to hear of Marty's passing. He and all of the Roots were special friends to my family and me. Can we dim the lights at the Four Corners in his honor?

Tuesday, October 17, 2017I'm very sorry to hear this. I know Marty was friends from high school with my late husband Kyle "Barney" Gaskill. He was kind enough to call Barney when he was dealing with his own illness. My sincere condolences.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017Marty, I can't believe you're gone. You always bounced back. We've been friends for so long that even with you being so sick I thought you would just always be around. I miss talking to you almost daily already even though I used to tell you what a PITA you were always calling me at work...but we always ended our conversations with, "Good-bye, Pal." A Pal you were...we had so many laughs working together. Some of the funniest things I have ever heard came from you, Root. The stories you used to tell I will cherish forever. You are embedded in my heart, Marty. I know that your last struggling breath on earth was your first deep breath in Heaven's sweet air. Sweet sleep, Root...I love you.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017Please accept my condolences for the loss of your loved one. Words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one. I pray that Jehovah sustain you at this time of such great loss. Death is our true enemy and the Bible does promise a time when God “will swallow up death forever.” You can read that in the Bible book of Isaiah chapter 25 verse 8. May the God of comfort, comfort you during this time. (2 Corinthians 1: 3 & 4) Please know that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again. ( John 5:28,29) This link provides some wonderful information about God’s promise to our dear deceased loved ones: http://www.jw.org/en/publications/books/dead-live-again-tract/dead-live-again/#?insight[search_id]=89443183-730d-44d5-abb1-231e953872b3&insight[search_result_index]=2
