Obituary of Edith Schurr

SCHURR - Edith E. “Edie” (nee Wagner) January 9, 2018, of Lockport, NY, formally of the Cloisters in Akron, NY; wife of the late Russell C. Schurr, Jr. “Skip”; beloved mother of daughters, Lynn (Larry) Slevin and Sandra Reynolds (Ron Abrams); loving grandmother of Patricia Dore, Lorry (Matthew) Goldhawk, Russell C. (Michelle) Reynolds, and Candice (Thomas) Schurr; dear greatgrandmother of Riley and Declan Goldhawk, Lily and Lucy Reynolds, Thomas “TJ” and Jaxon Schurr and Sawyer (Dore) Haenel; also survived by cherished step-grandchildren Jordan Abrams, Courtney Greene and Lauren Kingsbury. She was happy to have had and loved extended family of nieces, nephews, and godchildren; sister of the late Robert and Richard Wagner; stepsister to the late Norman J. Hoffa. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 18th, 12 noon with a memorial service 1 pm, at SHEPARD BROS FUNERAL HOME LLC, 10690 Main Street, Clarence, NY. Edie was a member of the Akron Historical Society and a docent at the Octagon House. She was past president of the Cloister's Social Club.
